My bot isn't talking

This is one of the most common complains about bMotion, and is two different problems: either bMotion isn't working at all, or it is working and you want it to talk more.

Check bMotion is working

Say "BOT: test" in a channel where you have configured bMotion to be active, and see if you get a "hello" back. If you do, bMotion is working fine. If you do not, head on over to Troubleshooting?.

bMotion is working but not talking enough

Currently there is no easy way to just make it talk more.

You can configure the random stuff outputs to happen more frequently, but that won't make it participate in more conversations. However, bMotion is designed not to participate too much, because otherwise it gets annoying. The result of an annoying bot is it gets uninstalled. bMotion has had three years of careful tuning to make sure it works enough to be fun, but not so much it's annoying. Don't rush things, let it lurk a bit and it'll soon become one of the family. -
